If you get a chance please take a look. I got php_gd2.dll from the zipfile (see photo) and the "extensions" sub-directory were not there when I installed. I don't have any other extension working. If it is so that sounds like rests of an old installation hanging around (incompatible dlls, possibly not even GD/GD2 itself, multiple PHP.INI and so on). Do you have any other extension working? The dlls of PHP are NOT versioned like M$ COM Objects, so little differences in the versioning might hang your system. Do you use the dlls that came with your other PHP binaries or did you fetch them later? And please take a look at the complaints of PHP at startup. Most likely there are some.
