Magento is one of them that already been looking into, but, it requires two
modules to be running, and on my local/development WAMP installation, while I
have tried to turn on/enable CURL, I don't seem to be able to turn on the other
module it asks to have enabled during install script procedure:
a.. PHP extension "mcrypt" must be loaded.
a.. PHP extension "curl" must be loaded.
Suppose could implement a version on my sort of production server to test/try
it out there, but would prefer to have tested/tried it out a bit locally/in
development first - maybe will start up the version of XAMP think also have
here and see if wants to run under that one.

The other one already looked at was called quick.cart, but, it doesn't really
have a free/fully modifiable version - or that's how it seems anyway.

stay well

scripts

I find Magento to be a greate Ecomm platform for modifications. There is a
big learning curve but if you are familiar with Zend Framework, you should pick
it up quickly. It also has a big community and many extensions for you to
install

Ok, while am pretty sure could do this myself from scratch without any real
issues, just wondering what guys would recommend looking into/at with regard to
something like examples of relatively simple, clean, free shopping cart script
examples, preferably making use of/including the following (unrelated) features
etc.:-

    php
    mysql
    admin section for products/orders
product detail possibly including title, pricing, keywords, categories,
descriptions, and possible image uploads
    front-end user registration
    shopping cart support
    order placement/checkout
    etc. etc.

Like said would like something relatively clean, simple, etc. since could
then easily enough make mods/changes to it if/when wanted to add other features
to it, or turn off existing ones, but anyway...suggestions?

Have already had a look at a couple of ones out there, but they generally
seem to try to implement too many extra features that don't seem necessary as
such, etc.
