I think it is more a web server configuration than controlled from the php engine.

Try search on Apache /IIS topics on URL rewriting.

Subject: [JoPHP] PHP extension

Hey guys,
I've noticed that whenever i navigate to pages i wrote, the URL ends with a ".php" extension. Is tehre a way to remove the extension?
I need that for two reasons: 1) Visitors shouldn't be concerned with my implementaion language. 2) If i ever decide to change the implementation language all external links to my site would get broken.
I tried searching on zend.com, but i didn't find anything that might help me. If anybody has an idea, i would be thankful.
