I'd suggest storing an indicator in a session variable that indicates if
the user has logged in or not. The first time they click on a PDF,
display the login screen and store the indicator in the session variable
after they've successfully logged in. Then, when they click on another
PDF, have the login form check if the session variable indicator is set,
if it is, just let them open the PDF. If its not, display the login form.
