Hi
I know its not the solution you want, but you are right in saying that if a
visitor arrives at another page not the Index.php, then the counter wont
work...

Two ways around this.
1) Have the counter on its own page and make an include on each page, then
all pages will hit the counter.
or
2) only have one page the visitors can get to... Mine is index.php, all the
rest of the pages are served up from the database. Yes, I only have one page
visitors can get to.
Now I can see how many hits I get, and how many unique visitors I get in any
day, what pages they looked at, for how long...

to see how this works, visit my web, http://kaela.kizzie.co.uk

Hope this help a little...
