Hi I know its not the solution you want, but you are right in saying that if a visitor arrives at another page not the Index.php, then the counter wont work...
Two ways around this. 1) Have the counter on its own page and make an include on each page, then all pages will hit the counter. or 2) only have one page the visitors can get to... Mine is index.php, all the rest of the pages are served up from the database. Yes, I only have one page visitors can get to.
