LOL...well, I'll try. You should be able to use an "if" statement to
check if the form field is filled in and then do your validation on the
e-mail address. There are already many resources available on the
internet for PHP e-mail validation (and probably some in previous posts
in this list), so I won't go into that here. The "if" statement would
look like (assuming you are "post"ing your form and the field containing
the e-mail address is named "email"):
if($_POST['email']){
//validate e-mail address here.
}
