Here are the two books I used when I was first learning php. They may be a bit 'dated' now, but the basics of php language and technology are the same. "PHP & MySQL For Dummies" by Janet Valade "Sams Teach Yourself PHP, MySQL and Apache All in One (2nd Edition)" by Julie Meloni However, I wouldn't recommend using the cd's they provide to install php/mysql/apache on your local machine. If you have Windows, try XAMPP instead. Sams Teach Yourself series now has a just-PHP edition by Matt Zandstra. You can get a preview of part of it through Amazon's website: (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0672326191/qid=1135093224/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-0971367-1705424?n=507846&s=books&v=glance) Michael Roush [EMAIL PROTECTED] "The power of the Web is in its universality.
