A useful troubleshooting technique is simplification and incremental complexification. The version message pointed out by someone else is a good starting point. Then do a simple select of one field on one table. Then add all the non-join fields. Then add subselects, joins, etc. By using this technique, sometimes I find something wrong that I never envisioned from the error message. :::: Schist!
