To clarify my goal, The site in which the documents are located is a fair trade coffee coop.
What is wanted is that members at various sites what to put links to the coffee coop site so the folks can verify the http://www.gypsyfarm.com/test_doc.html At this link the first link on the page (these are just mockups.) would read the query string or even perhaps the enter the mark (which is used to determine the exact batch of coffee. It would then read the query string or post and build the page dymanically. The second idea is that it reads the query string or post then does a redirect to the exiting page. Of course it's a bit annoying because if you hit the back button in this case it just returns you to the same page you hit the back button on, but anyway, it's just to get the idea. I was thinking of some way sort of like they do counters and with <img src="http://somesite.com/mycounter.php"> but instead of an image I wanted text so I could dynamically create links on another web site. Perhaps not possible. I think option 1 seems best. Pat <snip> I'm not clear on what your goals are, but serving the files based on ID isn't a bad way to go. </snip> -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by DefendMail, and is believed to be clean.
