server on win xp professional. I downloaded mysql 5.0 and unpacked it
only to find there was no winmysqladmin.exe, (seems winmysqladmin.exe
was wiped out with version 4.1?) so I searched and found someone who
had the appropriate files and downloaded them as well. The problem I
am having now is that when I click on winmysqladmin.exe, instead of
the window to set up my server as admin, I get the stoplight in my
tray with a red light. If I try using mysqladmin.exe, the dos screen
flashes by and disappears with no stoplight at all. Am I going about
this wrong? Everything I have been reading, nothing mentions if this
happens what I should do next.
I am currently working on my design page and writing my first php
scripts, but I have to get the db working to go on.
Any help or point in the right direction would be well appreciated!
