I just a newbie but I'd add a count variable and add to it for every cycle of
out put (if you're using a loop for output)

Subject: [php_mysql] Creating a message board...reply count

I'm trying to create a message board and I want to add a reply count. The
entire board is in
one table is a mbid column and a mb_parent column. When there is a reply, it
writes the mbid
from the top level post to mb_parent.

I want to get a count of how many mb_parents = mbid.

How can I do this?

Thank you.
