Hello everyone, I have a MySQL (4.1) table that has about 48000 entries. Something has happened and I have about 20000 duplicates of a single field within the database (I forgot to set that field to unique).
This is a table for storing pictures. It has its own separate id field (the primary key), as well as the picture name field (and a couple other fields). There are about 20000 duplicate entries in the name field (these should be unique). I would like to be able to clean out the duplicate entries of that field, but I am not sure of the best way to do this. Any advice would be appreciated. -- Doug Registered Linux User #285548 (http://counter.li.org) ---------------------------------------- Random Thought: Is a person who blows up banks an econoclast?
