I am setting up Apache, PHP and MySQL on a windows XP system. I have got into
MySQL and set up a database with one table in it. Now I am unable to get back
into MySQL.
I run MySQLD-nt and it appears to run ok.
Then I run MySQL -u root -p.
It comes back and asks me for the password which I give it
I then get ERRR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost'
(10061)
I have tried
telnet localhost 3306 and it tells me it can't connect.
This works intermittantly. Does anyone have any suggesstion?
