[php_mysql] How to display query output in user define output

In my program a query display following type 2 column output:
e.g.
Dept.Code    Exp.
0002                900
0013                700
0020                500
0137              1000
0137               600
0176                300
0231                400
0231                250
0231                550
5474                800
...                    ....
I need this output display like following format:
Dept.Code    Exp.1   Exp.2    Exp.3   Total
0002                900                                            900
0013                700                                            700
0020                500                                            500
0137                1000        600                         1600
0176                300                                            300
0231                400          250       550          1200
5474                800                                            800
......                ......                                              .....
What is the code in PHP for this output.
