i get the impression that so far, the group has done nothing.
it is the group's responsibility to coordinate with the other
translators (see how the german translation team does this
using de/Translators -- the dutch, french, italian, and japanese
translation teams all do something similar).
the primary repository for the translation is always the one in
the cvs.php.net repository.
