I _plan_ to split install.configure.xml (the configure options) on Sunday. If all is okay (I started this already but I couldn't test, since Hartmut broke something and I wanted to sleep ;), I'll commit and write a mailt to phpdoc, too. > IMHO a phpdoc/chapters/install/filename.xml or a >phpdoc/install/filename.xml solution would be somewhat better... I totally agree. I talked to Hartmut (and Georg) and Hartmut said, I should wait and perhaps discuss this first. I don't care if it will be chapters/install/ or install/. I think, if I am finished, we can discuss this. Moving the files then is no problem. >Having install prepended is much > like a logical grouping, and we have directories for logical grouping. ACK. > This is why I added this to TODO. I thought it would be better to talk Ah, this was you, who added this ;) > about this before we change. I vote for moving all the things to > phpdoc/install/filename.xml, so eg. phpdoc/install/unix.xml See above. > Seems much more logical for me. I would also vote for making install > a major part in the manual itself (the presentation formats), not Installation should be definately a major part of the manual. Since (installation) beginners need _much_ help on installing, there should be as much information given as possible. After splitting install.configure.xml, we can start think about _how_ we can document each option. Mark
