Hi! I just want to give light here to a nice idea, that poppped up in user comments in the new windows CHM survey. Many non presentation, but content related comments arrived.
One of the ideas [submitted by more than one user] was to group the contents on function pages by type: Description Notes Warnings Examples See also You can see a similar grouping in many programming language manuals. Our current manual is impossible to convert to this format, and this may be a completely bad idea, but IMHO it can help users to better understand what can a function do. My goal is not to introduce this as a convention, I think this would be a too big thing for me ;) I would like to ask you to think about this, the advantages and disadvatages, pros and cons. You can see a simple and fancy example of how this can help (these are actually working pieces from the design plans of the new CHM edition). one plain skin: http://corelian.com/phpchm/skintest1a/plain/date_plain.html one fancy skin: http://corelian.com/phpchm/skintest1a/gnz/date_gnz.html Goba
