This bug has been fixed in CVS. You can grab a snapshot of the CVS version at http://snaps.php.net/. In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up soon at http://www.php.net/manual/. In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP better. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-08-09 13:22:37] [EMAIL PROTECTED] /e modifier in preg_replace is not available in PHP3. Cf functions/pcre.c function _pcre_get_compiled_regex in PHP3 (3.0.18 and CVS) and ext/pcre/php_pcre.c function pcre_get_compiled_regex in PHP4 (4.1.2 and CVS). I think PHP4 Changelog should state it more clearly, and preg-replace function should precise it too (cf example 2). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=18835&edit=1 -- PHP Documentation Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
