Clearly, the documentation is out of date.  Whether it's intentional or
not, ftp_close() is an obsolotete function.
 * The example on the main FTP functions page should be updated to use
 ftp_quit() * This page should be updated do say that ftp_close() doesn't exist as of
 4.1.2 * The ftp_quit() page should be updated to say that this is the
 replacement of ftp_quit()
