This bug has been fixed in CVS. In case this was a PHP problem, snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at http://snaps.php.net/. In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up soon at http://www.php.net/manual/. In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites in short time. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP better. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-12-20 17:36:29] php4 at developersdesk dot com I needed info on how to use is_callable, found it undocumented, so I wrote up something based on messages I found on php-dev. It is in the user notes on the manual page. http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.is-callable.php When moving it into the documentation, please change the syntax_check setting on the second example to false. Since that value has nothing to do with simple variable vs. method they should probably be the same in both examples, and false it the better choice.
