Bug description: Removal of comment by I_Hate_Bogus_Email_Addresses on eregi
documentation page

Description:

Can the comment on
php.net/eregi

by I_Hate_Bogus_Email_Addresses
made on 27-Jan-2003 08:55

be cleared, please? It contains nothing of relevance to PHP coders that I
can see, and contains *perl* code, which is confusing.

I doubt the 'classic bogus forgeries' still apply (even if they were of
general relevance to PHP developers) given the constant changes of
spamming techniques.

The comment that the "chinese ... are notorious for BOGUS addresses"
strikes me as rather offensive as well.
