I just deleted my livedocs webfiles (sqlite databases etc), I still get the error - might be a livedocs issue
Strange. Try a complete ./configure since the manual.xml.in file changed too.
No go - same problem,, ilia was talking about this on IRC the other day - dunno of he figured out what was wrong or if it was livedocs specific.
make test (nsgmls based) and make test_xml (libxml2 / xsltproc based) all say the English docs are fine, so this is an interesting problem... the entity referencing the contributors file should be generated upon the configure run to entieies/file-entities.ent, and that entity should be picked up by livedocs when you run the livedocs build process.
