Everyone: any suggestions for this problem?
We could implement a shortened URL handler on master.php.net, but I doubt that would go over well with the regular master maintainers. TinyURL (or alike) would work, but I don't like depending on a third party.
I'd like to completely re-work the notes process, on docweb, someday.. maybe this should wait.
I think having short urls on the master server would go well with the maintainers. They only need to set a 404 handler and the PHP code can handle everything.
