There are still a bunch of usernotes indicating PHP_Compat. Did someone do something about this?
AFAIR nobody did something about. My vote, if counts, is still for faq and migration docs.

The full explanation should not be there on all pages. A small portion of text could be around on the relevant pages however, linking to that FAQ entry.
IMO this is blatent advertising, it can be in the FAQ/Migration docs, but that's it.
