Oops; sorry. It seems I am learning a thing or two about the "translated" versions: I assumed the English text in the "Dutch" version (which is very partially translated) was always / automatically up to date. On the "visibility" page of the manual the end of the first paragraph still has "protected" mentioned twice. I do believe one should indeed be "private" as the writer of #29187 suggests.
