Hi,

I have been reading through the documentation guidelines at http://doc.php.net/php/dochowto/ and am currently familiarising myself with the way everything works. I was wondering how you decide what to edit and when. As noted in the docs, if you spot notes that could be added to the documentation, then you add them to the manual and delete notes. Apart from that, do you just browse the manual and tweak it if you feel it needs it?

- watch out for documentation bugs - watch out for user notes - spot documentation problems yourself - use tools on the phpdoc.info site (will move to doc.php.net) for missing examples, etc. - document new stuff :)

I requested a CVS account by e-mailing [EMAIL PROTECTED] yesterday. On average, how long should I expect to wait until I receive a reply?

You need to wait too long.

Finally, I'm interested in helping out with the website itself (not just the docs). Is the best option to e-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] and say so?

If you have ideas, write them at that mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED] is mapped to [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
