It is fixed in the chm manual generation sources, although the version that is available for download isn't fixed, because it hasn't been generated after the change in the sources. So, you will have to wait until a new manual is built. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-05-20 13:49:58] richard dot quadling at bandvulc dot co dot uk In my version of the CHM file it seems fine. See http://www.flight1721.co.uk/switch.png for a screen snapshot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-05-20 10:02:02] janip at codesign dot fi [EMAIL PROTECTED] commented >>As stated in #28379, this bug is already fixed. So, you >>will have to wait untill the next manual build. Think again. First of all, #28379 is older and I included the link only to illustrate the type of problem with the chm doc's functionality. Secondly - It is clearly NOT FIXED as you can personally trial for yourself - try the test I submitted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-05-19 21:29:16] [EMAIL PROTECTED] As stated in #28379, this bug is already fixed. So, you will have to wait untill the next manual build. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-05-19 17:10:33] janip at codesign dot fi Description: ------------ The index of the chm documentation is incorrectly built, and does not contain the language 'keywords. Keywords such as 'switch' or 'include' are missing. This means that instead of clicking on the 'Index'-tab and typing in 3-4 first words of the keyword and finding relevant doc entry in 2-3 seconds, users must use the 'Search'-tab and run a search on the documentation, which often takes ages. Please rebuild the index with all the keywords, EVEN the constructs. Please compare with these bug reports: #28501 http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=28501&edit=2 #28379 http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=28379&edit=2 Reproduce code: --------------- 1. Open the php chm help 2. Click on 'Index' tab. 3. Type 'swit' in the text box (under 'Type in the keyword you want to find'). (no need to press enter ) Expected result: ---------------- A list of keywords in alphabetic order starting from 'switch'. Actual result: -------------- A partial list of keywords in alphabetic order starting from 'SWFTextField'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=33069&edit=1
