Hi, Today, in a revision break I have been browsing around the various PHPDoc related websites to remind myself what is available and I was thinking that although there is a lot of information, it is not all centralised in one place. I also think it is also quite confusing for anyone new to start contributing. Coming back to an idea I had a month or so ago to write a quick start guide, I thought it might be worth gathering all the stuff that is available and putting together a full resource site. I think the best place to do that would be on http://doc.php.net/
For example, there is the most up to date guide (I could find) at http://doc.php.net/php/dochowto/index.php but the main php.net website links to http://www.php.net/manual/howto (which seems to be the same thing). There is also http://wiki.phpdoc.info/DocLinks and the useful tools at http://www.phpdoc.info/meta/ My idea is to gather all the resources available (with the permission of the owners) and put them all on http://doc.php.net/ with links to everything on that one site. I would also like to have a quick start guide available from the homepage so that it will make it easier for phpdoc members to find everything but also assist new people. Presumably the php.net website can then link to the doc.php.net site. What do you think? -- Regards, David Mytton http://www.olate.co.uk
