From: phpbug-david at tulloh dot id dot au Operating system: PHP version: Irrelevant PHP Bug Type: Documentation problem Bug description: header documentation should be improved by moving the usage warning
Description: ------------ >From watching the php irc channel and mailing list the most common problem people have when using the header() function is that they set the header after sending content. The documentation does address this issue however it's buried so that it's far harder to find than it should be. It currently sits between an example for caching and an example for content type. I would recomend moving the paragraph and example to the top of the documentation. Just above the first note: looks good. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=36540&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 4.4): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=trysnapshot44 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 5.1): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=trysnapshot51 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 6.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=trysnapshot60 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=36540&r=mysqlcfg
