From: derernst at gmx dot ch Operating system: PHP version: Irrelevant PHP Bug Type: Documentation problem Bug description: Wrong and poor documentation of ftp_close() and ftp_quit()
Description: ------------ The manual states for ftp_close(): void ftp_close ( resource $ftp_stream ) And for ftp_quit: int ftp_quit ( int $ftp_stream ) Anyway, both var_dump(ftp_close($conn_id)) and var_dump(ftp_quit($conn_id)) display bool(true). In comp.lang.php I got told ftp_quit() was an alias of fpt_close(). If this is the case it would be helpful to find this information in the manual; if not, it would be helpful to find some short info about the differences. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=41458&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 4.4): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=trysnapshot44 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=trysnapshot52 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 6.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=trysnapshot60 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=41458&r=mysqlcfg
