I wanted to introduce myself (Ron Korving, howdy) as dutch PHP manual
translator and provide a first patch for the dutch translation.
They're a
lot of fixes of typos, a lot of fixes in the language directory and a
completely rewritten basic-syntax.xml which is now synched with the
English
version.
There's a lot of work to be done on the dutch translation and
nobody doing
it right now. It's completely unmaintained but I'm willing to
change that.
You can expect a lot more updates from me in the near future. I
hope anyone
is willing to review and commit my patch and I'd love some feedback if
something is wrong with it. I have tested it with "make test" and
"make
test_xml" and I have generated the HTML output to confirm correctness.
The patch can be found at

Hello Ron,
Nice, this is good news! Do note that the entire translation system
is being reevaluated currently and Masahiro is working on a proposal
that deals with this topic. And at this point don't worry about any
of the owner information and simply update files that most need
updating. Please apply for a CVS account... the patch looks good and
welcome to the party :)
Regards,
Philip
