Dear Translators

As you are probably aware of, we are planning on upgrading our
documentation to DocBook5.

This change will allow several nice things to take place :
   * Nicer and more semantical markup
   * Come up with a solution to our Object Oriented style documentation problem
   * Rewrite our build system
   * Finalize Livedocs and bring it to real life (GSoC project)

For more details on the upgrade see my previous post to phpdoc@:
http://news.php.net/php.doc/969376673

On Thursday the 21st we will be committing the patch to the EN tree,
and then we will patch
all the translation repositories. We are aware of the Revcheck process
and we will bump
the EN-Revision number of every file that is marked up-to-date using
the EN-Revision tags.

If you have any outstanding commits this is the time to either commit
your changes, or make backups to avoid messing your files with CVS
conflicts. Don't hesitate to write me back if any
problem arise.

Bottom line: Please keep your fingers off the commit button next
Thursday and until I've sent 'all clear', this should hopefully not
take more than a day.

Thank you for your time and understanding
-Hannes
