You don't need an CVS account to start a translation. Just use 'cvsread' (see http://php.net/anoncvs) until you have a good chunk translated and then ask for account+karma. Be warned though. Translating the manual is a major job. It takes considerable amount of time, thinking its just a weekend job is unrealistic :] -Hannes
