Great! Looks good (and huge!) and appears ready for commit. Don't worry about those entities* files as they are auto-generated. This is a good question for the FAQ which is progressing:

So, the additions/changes are available at https://gist.github.com/b7c0c2c8379c7c6679c6 If anyone wants to discuss off-list (to help a new contributor out, maybe?) I try to pop in to IRC (nick, salathe). If all goes well, I'd like to continue with SPL-file-related docs.
