Hello!

My name is Karl-Arne Gjersøyen. I am a Norwegian man at 39 years as a time has been a little busy with PHP programming. Now I have decided to translate the PHP manual to Norwegian bokmaal.

I've Downloaded the English version of the PHP manual by using the TortoiseSVN and saved it on my laptop.

Also, I downloaded and installed PHP 5.3.0 on Microsoft Windows Home Premium platform.

A bit more about me!
I'm married, but has no children. My wife and I have, however, 5 cats and 1 dog :) We live in the west part of Norway. I have previously worked as an IT consultant with technical support on Windows in addition to making simple web design and programming tasks.

Otherwise, I have some certificates as Linux Administrator at Red Hat.

I am a disability pension because of a disease that affects the brain, but with the help of medication I can live nearly normal. Currently I go to school, so this translation project is something I do whenever I have time for it.

I look forward to getting fully under way. Actually, I started to translate the manual, after first download the HTML version, but after being in contact with the webmaster on _www.php.net <http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=no&sl=no&tl=en&prev=hp&u=http://www.php.net>_ I learned that it was a waste of time. Therefore, I now follow the advice I found by the links webmaster sent me!

I do not know how long this project will take, but will do my best to ensure that the translation should be as good as possible!

Sincerely, Karl-Arne Gjersøyen
