Hello all, I'm having some issues with using pLa to create new entries via a copy of an existing entry and hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
What I am doing is the following: 1) Log on to pLa web interface 2) browse to the relevant ou, in this case ou=EmailAliases 3) Select entry to copy, in this case cn=user,ou=EmailAlias,dc=domain 4) Select "copy or move this entry" 5) change the cn= to new entry name, in this case cn=user2, ou and dc stay the same Upon pressing "copy" button I get the following error: "This update has been or will be cancelled, it would result in an attribute value not being unique. You might like to search the LDAP server for the offending entry" Selecting search does not provide anything of use that I can see to help in debugging other than the ldap entry for the original user. In comparison, using the demo server http://wurley.demo.phpldapadmin.org/ it works as I expect it to, where after pressing the copy button I get brought to the "Create Object" page with the cn= successfully changed and having access to change all of the users info before saving. Server set up is: - Ubuntu 11.04 - PLA 1.2.0.5 (via apt-get) - OpenLDAP 2.4.23 (via apt-get) t.i.a ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. Business sense. IT sense.
