hello list,

 I have installed phpldapadmin here at the office and so far it's
working quite well. I've proposed it as an alternate user interface
for our LDAP system. However one barrier to most people finding it
easy to use is the need to enter the full DN in order to login.

 i.e. to login I would type:

 uid=dunphy,ou=People,dc=mycompany,dc=com

 Whereas with the other LDAP interface I would simply login with my
username. In other words I would simply type the name 'dunphy' instead
of the full DN. Is there a way to set a config in PLA so that users
could type their username instead of the long DN listing typical of
LDAP?

Thanks
Tim
