Have removed previous partial attachments (sorry for the "noise/spam" on the
list) and am attaching a pacth for feedback/review:
- (1.) the data storage API (in the form of a set of interfaces)
- (2.) the code that implements the abstract API services via Hadoop
- (3.) unit tests for (2.)
