Hi there,
Ben and Chris mentioned at the pig user meeting multiple input files
can be used for pig.
However this is only true for text files since pig uses a own
inputformat.
I wonder why is using pig such a input format and do not use hadoops
sequence file or text input format.
By browsing the code I can't see any very pig specific functionality
there? What do I miss?
I would love to work on supporting any kind of sequence files
(value.toString to convert the value to a string) and allow multiple
input files.
Any thoughts?
