- Set default execution mode to MapReduce (This is a surprise as it should have
been fixed even before PIG-111 got checked-in)
- When using local hadoop, changed message "Connecting to HDFS at null" to
"Connecting to HDFS at local"
- Added the missing conf/log4j.properties
- Removed some dead code.
