Hi, Which version of hadoop are you using?
We've found this same error some time ago there was a bug in the hadoop code in the way the memory was calculated for copying between the maps and reducers, it basically calculated without casting one int to long. This is seems weird initially and unrelated but it did the trick for us. =20 cheers, Gerrit
