Is the upgrade process that rough between versions? I used a mix of
binaries and compiling and ran into several location problems (e.g.
/usr/bin vs /usr/local/bin). Any chance of binaries for stable
releases in the future?
yes, I'm planning to release the final 0.1.24 this week.
Regarding the upgrades, I try to make an upgrade as smooth as possible,
and provide a step by step instructions on how to do that.
The previously mentioned steps are not part of an upgrade, just
enabling
admins from the AD. Fortunately piler is pretty flexible, and supports
several configurations, environments. However it's not easy to find a
one size fits all setup, so sometimes a little more configuration is
needed.
If you need help, just ask, I even offer a complete installation /
customization
service as well, so by getting an ssh access, and I can ship you a
ready to use
system. So to sum it up: I'm confident that piler will work for you,
