I'm using the latest stable 0.1.23 from the Website. I have a feeling
it's because I installed from binaries and tar.gz. Stuff is probably
not the right place. I think I'm going to roll another setup and
install all of the important stuff like piler and sphinx from source.
I'm using CentOS 6.4.
Can I move the already imported mail from /var/piler/store/00 to new
install and then have it indexed? I hate to import 20+GB of mail again
if I don't have to.
well, I would have started over with the latest master branch. But
anyway,
yes, possible, however make sure you copy piler.key as well, it's
mandatory
to preserve it, and copy it to the new place. Also you have to move /
copy
the piler database, too.
However if your environment allows it, I'd take a look, and would try
to
make it work before moving it to another host especially if you have
lots
of emails already archived.
If you need an NDA to sign or whatever to feel secure, we can negotiate
it.
