doesn't seem so. Harry got the problem solved by reinstalling piler. I
am tempted to do so to, because I learned some things about piler

the way of setting this installation up and maybe I could do a cleaner
install if I start from scratch. On the other hand I am curious about
the reason for the import to fail. Also I am a bit worried if that
might
happen again and once the server is running in production I can't
reinstall it that easiely.
Does anybody have some idea about this?
In your experiences: How stable and reliable is piler in production?
Does user piler have write permission in the current directory?
Pilerimport
creates temporary files in the current directory. If it can't, then it
complains.
Also make sure /var/piler/store/00 directory exists, and it's owned by
piler.
