yes, it's quite possible. The sql upgrade script is for a stock 0.1.24
install. If you have a later build, then chances are that most of the
schema changes are already done.
Since there are probably more people running a later version than the
'normal' 0.24, perhaps you could add some checks to see in what state
the database actually is?
