Our current software for mailarchive is called "openbenno" and it
imports mails via imap from an Exchange 2010 mailbox
and stores the them as .gz files to the files system. So I took a few,
gunzipped them and used "pilerimport -d" to
import. All mails showed up in the GÙI but most of the messages didn't
got the "From:" field filled. It is just
empty. So I took pilertest and ran it with the files I imported
earlier and got the same results. Only on a few
the "From:" field was detected correct.
After some time I recognized that all mails that were imported correct
got imported to the old system via POP3
from Exchange 2003. All failing mails came via IMAP from our Exchange
2010 system we migrated to.
I've attached two anonymised mails, one of eatch type.
Anyone has an idea on how to get those IMAP mails imported correctly?
what mysql version do you have? A user reported that he had the same(?)
or similar issues using stock mysql 5.6 (the oracle version). In his
case
a downgrade to mysql 5.5 was the solution, because 5.6 had a hard time
inserting utf-8 characters to the sph_index table.
Note that both of your attached files look correct.
