Something akin to this was done for earth.burningman.com.  django-piston was
used.  You can make a REST api that can consume and broadcast (wrong word)
json data.  I haven't seen a pinax-specific implementation of piston hit the
open source arena but I'm looking forward to it.  Keep us posted!
