New issue 190 by Jim.mixtake: Invalid username throws a "DoesNotExist" Error

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to Login with a username that doesn't exist (try asdfasdf1234 it's
pretty uncommon ;)
2. Observe the error
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect it to tell me I'm wrong and let me try again
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

ubuntu 8.10 amd64
I've attached a patch which solves the problem (though it has incorrect svn
info, which shouldn't matter)
