Mike, what film are you using? I'm using Kodak CGP/2588 myself. The recommendation is for a #1A. However, I also am getting away with using the Delta 1 Bright Lab Jr. It's a red bulb you can pick up in the darkroom dept of a camera store. I work at least four feet from it, and don't seem to get any fogging problems. I had to resort to using it in the lamps of motel rooms last week, when I was up in the Four Corners shooting 7x17 litho film. Worked fine.
