Ben, As long as a cameras has a setting that allows the shutter function to work, that is: lift the mirror and open up the shutter when the shutter realease is pressed, that camera is fit fit for pinhole practice. I assume some cameras' shutter function may not work if a "real" lens is not installed, cameras with electronic links between the lens a the body may require to be set for manual exposure and/or manual focusing.
